Influence of metabolic syndrome

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a medical condition marked by a collection of cardiovascular risk factors, including Obesity, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and dyslipidemia are all linked to the onset and progression of atrial fibrillation (AF). MetS and AF are becoming more common over the world, and they have a substantial role in the high morbidity and death associated with cardiovascular illnesses. Thus, MetS and AF have emerged as serious clinical and public-health issues. The cornerstone of AF ablation is pulmonary vein (PV) isolation (PVI).

Cryoballoon-based PVI In terms of effectiveness, ablation has been shown to be comparable to radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA). Both efficacy and safety in the treatment of people suffering from drug-resistant paroxysmal AF with symptoms .

Cryoballoon ablation, on the other hand, has a number of potential advantages over RFCA, including a shorter procedure time.
